While on vacation I found Lou’s Tavern. The food was amazing and the fries were some of the best I have ever had!! I enjoyed it so much that on the way back to the airport I had to stop one more time! Thanks for the great food, service and drinks(Pirates punch 🤤) ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Visiting family and we were looking for something low key and pool tables. Tucked away off the main roads and from the outside doesn't look all that BUT go in. It's just your local hole in the wall where everyone is friendly. Reviews led us here. Recommend the burger, fresh not frozen full of flavor. There wasn't a big crowd so we were able to eat, watch football and play pool with no issues.
I was in town from Arkansas to help my mom out after a stroke and stumbled on the nice little spot!! I visited here 3 times during my stay and everyone was extremely kind and the grilled chicken sandwich with her amazing fries was spot on! I was diagnosed with Alpha Gal (it's from a tick bite) and googled best grilled chicken sandwich near me and Lou's came right up!! So I enjoyed a nice beverage, a sandwich and friendly staff and customers. I will definitely be back. Thank you guys for your kindness. We never know what other's are going through and you made the struggles so much more delightful.
My wife, a few friends, and I visited Lou’s Tavern for the first time on September 13, 2025 at 6 PM after hearing some great recommendations — and it did not disappoint! Tucked away just south of Racetrack Road, this spot truly feels like a hidden gem in Fort Walton Beach. The food was absolutely top-notch. I ordered the Sweet Red Chili Wings while my wife had the mild ones — both came out piping hot, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. One of my friends went with the Pork Grilled Cheese Sandwich and WOW… that thing is a game-changer. I already know what I’m getting next time! Beyond the food, the atmosphere is exactly what you want in a local tavern: karaoke, pool tables, darts, plenty of TVs, and just a fun, laid-back vibe. The owner, Lou, made the experience even better. sHe personally served us with an upbeat, positive attitude that made us feel like regulars on our very first visit. This is 100% a must-try if you live locally and have never stopped by, and it’s also a great way to support a small business owner who clearly pours his heart into the place. Thank you, Lou — we’ll definitely be back for more! 🙌
From the outside it didn't look like much. Went inside and it has a great pub motif. Lots of room between the dining tables, pool tables, darts and best of all the owners are super friendly. This is a family-owned business and they keep the clientele very respectable. Lou is amazing friendly person. She is the co-owner and bar tender for most of the time her husband is a great guy ex-cop. This is a hidden jewel.
This is the perfect example of not judging a book by its cover. The atmosphere caters more to a bar scene but the food stands on its own. Fast and friendly service plus delicious pub food selections make for a great dining experience. Would highly recommend
A party of 9, our food was delicious. James is the cook today, bravo. Everything was cooked to perfection. Our waitress has been amazing, we appreciate her patience with our big group. Thanks for a great dinner!
Lou’s is one of those places that just feels like home. I came and was employed here as a baby drinker, and Lou was proud of her bar then—she still is now. It’s been maybe 4-6 years? The food is honestly some of the best in town, the games and vibes are always fun, and there are even thoughtful little touches in the bathroom (tampons, lotion, etc.). It’s a great family-run spot that really feels like Fort Walton. Shoutout to my friend Rachel—she’s an amazing bartender and she sings on Monday nights. (We joke it’s an honor to hear her. But seriously… she’s that good.) Highly recommend! Honestly nothing but good things to say.
